AHA releases guidance on statin drug interactions with other CV medications

KEY POINT

The American Heart Association (AHA) released a scientific statement that included recommendations for management of clinically significant drug–drug interactions with statins and select medications used to manage cardiovascular (CV) disease, such as other lipid-lowering agents, calcium channel blockers (CCBs), antiarrhythmics, antianginal, anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, vasopressin-receptor antagonists, immunosuppressive agents, heart failure medications, and others.
